Marion Record Contacts

Marion County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm present custody, release anyone, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the public office that holds the record for those services.

Marion County Custody Contacts

Use the office that owns the question. The Sheriff’s Adult in Custody page and Web Jail Viewer are the first official local-custody resources. When the search does not answer a current-custody question, the jail information line is the correct next contact. The Criminal Records Unit handles requests for Sheriff-held releasable records, which are distinct from a city police report or court file.

The county records path explains the official booking search, the request form, the roster’s no-photo policy, and the records distinction. A booking is an accusation, and the court file is where later case outcomes appear.

  • For a current local custody question, use the Sheriff roster and jail information line.
  • For a Sheriff-held report or record, contact the Criminal Records Unit.
  • For a Salem, Keizer, or Woodburn incident report, contact the arresting city police department.
  • For a court case, hearing, dismissal, or judgment, use the Marion County Circuit Court records route.
  • For an emergency, call 911 rather than using a records contact.

Other Official Record Paths

Sentenced state-prison records belong with the Oregon Department of Corrections rather than the Marion jail roster. DOC directs formal records requests through its Public Records Center. Federal custody and qualifying immigration detention also use separate official locators. An empty result in one system does not settle a custody question in another system.

For a city report, the city police department controls the investigative record. For a county-jail booking, MCSO is the custodian. The court’s case number is separate from a Sheriff booking number or a city incident number. Giving the right office the date, person’s name, and known identifier helps it locate an existing record.
